In today’s post I will be sharing with you my opinions on the Makeup Revolution Beyond Flawless eyeshadow and swatches. Makeup Revolution is a very well know drugstore brand that has amazing products at affordable prices. I have been loving Makeup Revolution Palettes nowadays and have been using them a lot. The colors in this palette looked so beautiful that I had to get it and also I am so much into neutral makeup look these days which temped me to buy this more.
I got this palette from amazon.in for Rs 1750, actually I wanted to get the original Flawless eyeshadow from this range but got this instead because it had more nudes, golds, bronze shades in it and also the shades in this palette looked very similar to the Naked 3 palette but with much less price.
I was so impressed with the packaging of this palette, the outer cover box looked so classy with the golden card box and the eye palette was super sleek with rose gold writing. It also had a name sheet of all the shades on top but I accidentally lost it.
The color shade in this palette is absolutely amazing. It has a mixture of both matte and shimmer shades which is appropriate for a daytime look as well. Although the matte shades in this palette aren’t as pigmented as I would want them to be, but still it is very build-able and easy to work with. The shimmer shades are intensely pigmented and if used with a wet brush it can create a foiled eyeshadow look too. I have done swatches of all the 32 shades without any primer.
The only matte shade in this row is the Sand Dune shade which is a light mauve-nude color perfect for the crease. The only shade that I do not like from here is the Bare Pink as because it is very powdery and does not stay on the lid that well.
The swatches of this row looks quite similar to the top row but in reality they aren’t. The only matte shade in this row is the shade Brunette which is darker than the shade Sand Dune and is really good for a transition shade. My most used shade from this row is the shade Stone Grey , Chestnut and Brunette. Overall all the shades from this row is really good
The third row doesn’t consists of any matte shades unlike the other two rows above. My favorites among these shades are Bronze, Sandstone, Sepia and Autumn. The bronze shade is such an amazing shade for everyday wear. It can be used as a foiled eyeshadow too when used with a wet brush. The only shade that has disappointed me among these is the Nightfall shade. This shade in particular is very patchy and also the color payoff isn’t that good like the other shades.
This is the bottom row of the palette and the matte shade in this row is the shade Tawny, which is a very cool toned brown with not much pigmentation. The shade Ground Brown is my favorite shade of all the shades in this palette. It is a olive-brown tone eyeshadow with some golden hues to it. This eyeshadow is insanely pigmented and also gives a duo-chrome effect, this shade is perfect for fall makeup looks along with the shade Bistre which is a dark berry toned shade. The bottom row is overall packed with some amazing colors/shades, perfect for a fall eye makeup.
Honestly I did not have much high hopes for this palette, due to its price tag and the number of shades it has. But to my surprise this palette performed very well, pretty much comparable to some high-end makeup palettes. As I said earlier that the matte eyeshadow are not much pigmented but with this affordable price range I can’t really complain. This palette is really very versatile perfect for beginners and pros as well. This is a gem on the drugstore eye palettes. Makeup Revolution is really creating some good makeup products with affordable prices and high quality. Till now I have used only two of their palettes, however I am extremely impressed by both.
Have you tried any Makeup Revolution products (especially their base products)?
Do let me know if they are worth a try.
