Small High-end Makeup Haul~ I splurged a bit😋

Hello everyone!

Hope you all are having wonderful holidays. Since it is going to be the last post of 2016 on my blog I wanted to post about my holiday shopping haul and this time I splurged a little and got some high-end stuffs. The items that I got in this little haul have been on my wishlist for ages and I am so glad that I could finally check off all of these items from my list and start the coming year with a happy note.

So read down below to see what I got and also I did give little mini reviews since I have already been using these products for a while now.

Whenever I thought of purchasing a high-end makeup item it was always my dream to purchase a beauty blender but 20$ for just a sponge was too much for me to spend and being a beignner in makeup I could not splurge so much on a single item.Few months back I got myself a dupe of the original beauty blender and it worked great too but after few uses it was time to purchase a new one and that’s when I thought of getting the original beauty blender. I kept some money aside for this and ever since I got the original one I have to say that it is way way way better than all the dupes in the market. Even if you are wearing loads of foundation it makes you look airbrushed and gives the glowy-natural look from within. If you are wanting to splurge on any high-end makeup items I would recommend splurging on this item as it  will help you make your base makeup look flawless.

The next item that I got was the Huda Beauty liquid lipstick in the shade Famous. If you are in to the beauty community for long then you will definitely know Huda Kattan, a beauty influencer turned entrepreneur. She is one of the reasons I started blogging and someone I look upto. I have been reading her blogs back when I was in high-school and when she came up with her own makeup line I cannot be more excited. I always wanted to get the lashes from her line but at that time Huda beauty wasn’t shipping anything internationally but now many websites store her makeup and one of the websites is the cultbeauty.co.uk. This website has international shipping but ofcourse I had to pay custom charges. The lipstick charges alone to €18 + custom fees which is definitely not affordable by any means.

The consistency of this lipstick is quite runny and the formula dries down to full opaque matte texture. It has a staying power of 7-8 hours after which it starts to wear off and the only downside of this lipstick is that it becomes quite dry at the end of the day and crumbles off in small bits. But other than that I love this lipstick and  have been wearing it continuously this season.

While browsing the Huda beauty section in the cultbeauty website I came across their lip liners which they termed as ‘lip contours’ and since they had a sale I got two of them in the shade Vixen and Icon. Vixen is a very dark brown almost a blood red type of shade and Icon is a coral-nude shade perfect for summer season . The lip contour retails for €16 but it was on sale for €14 which was quite a deal since high-end makeup are never on sale.

The lip liners are very very creamy and glides on smoothly. At first I thought that these will accentuate all my dry and flaky lines on the lips since I have very dry lips during the colder months but they glide on smoothly and can be even worn alone as lipsticks as well. But I also wanted to say that they are quite pricy and you can definitely find so many dupes on the market for just half the price.

The last item in this haul is the most expensive in the list and also a  hyped product of the year. The Kylie lip kits needs no introduction. These lip kits have been around for a while now and I finally by the end of this year I got one of the most talked about shade which is the Poise K. The other limited shades are very hard to get a hold of. I did not get any of her darker lip kits as because I have heard that the dark ones are very streaky and patchy in texture. This particular shade is a very nude-pink everyday wearable type of lip shades that can be worn all throughout the year. These lip kits retail for $29 each and it may seem a bit too pricy but actually getting a matching lip liner along with the liquid lipsticks below $30 is indeed a steal. But the international shipping charges of these lip kits are unreal, so one of my blogger friend name Jessica from Lifestyle Stop shipped it to me at much much lower shipping price but I had to pay custom charges also which makes these lipstick more expensive. Now, coming to the formula of these lipsticks, I think they are one of the best liquid lipsticks available in the market at the moment. They have a very creamy consistency and the overall quality of the liquid lipstick is satisfying. The lip lines are also very creamy and not drying on the lips. The only thing that disappointed me was that the liquid lipstick is not very opaque and requires two swipe to obtain a full color but other than that these lip kits are worth your money. But as for splurging on these products I think that there is already many dupes for this on the market which are not even half the price of these kits. But if you are wanting to get these lip kits then I would say, that you will not be disappointed with the quality.

I have been very very grateful and glad that I could get these all of these items that I longed for a long time. 2016 has been a year that changed a lot in my life, I can still remember all the products that I purchased throughout the year and my makeup collection has grown so much and I can not wait for the coming year to arrive.

Lastly, Happy New Year to all those who are reading this post and all my best wishes for the coming year. Have a blast and stay safe and I wish you all a good health and blissful year ahead.

Love

Arnakshi!

I’ve always wanted to try the beauty blender. As with the Anastasia brow products we were talking about on my blog, I’m hesitant to purchase a beauty blender because I don’t know if I can be bothered to wet the sponge every time I do my makeup, especially since I don’t do my makeup in front of the sink.

That’s an issue with sponges but once I have tried using sponges for my base makeup I don’t really like using brushes any more. But honestly brushes are good for quick and easy makeup and since you are a last minute person I think you will not get much use out of the beauty blender or any other sponges.
